There was a meeting yesterday at the london colney training ground as
Arsene wenger seeks to revive the hopes of making a strong end of
season title challenge. Arsene Wenger as reported on daily telegraph
refused to attend his post match press conference after saturday's
game and will not face the press tomorrow before the match against
Swansea. According to club sources, he wants to get down to the roots
of the problem facing Arsenal's title challenge. He is particularly
concerned as the match against Chelsea on saturday was not the first
time this season his team has failed to turn up against a big team.
Arsenal have conceded 17 goals against Chelsea, Liverpool and
Manchester city this season. However, facing daily newspapers on way
out of Stamford bridge he said "I take full responsibility," he said.
"It is my
fault that we failed completely because we did
not turn up. It became a long, dramatic,
dreadful afternoon. This is puzzling because we
were shocked and knocked down basically
without feeling you have had a chance. The
team is healthy and willing - we have to think
deeply because it is not the first time." Per mertesacker also noted
that Arsenal have suffered heavily away at lunch time kick off this
