Arsenal will face Hull City on saturday in a match that will be the club's biggest test this season. Forget Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City or any other top team Arsenal have played this season, the Hull City game on Saturday presents a bigger challenge for Arsenal than all those mentioned above. The last time Arsenal was this close to winning a trophy was in 2011 and it was Obafemi Martins who made sure it was Birmingham city that went away with the trophy on the day. It was shocking and unbelievable for Arsenal supporters and every other person that watched the match as the match was expected to be a 'walk over' for Arsenal, yet Birmingham ran away with a 2-1 win. Now Arsenal have the opportunity to forget that loss and do away with the trophyless tag if they win the trophy on Saturday. There is pressure on Arsenal considering the long drought that have plagued the club for a long time and Hull City will want to use that to their advantage. Also there have been spectacular losses for Arsenal this season and that means anything can happen on saturday unless Wenger arrests the fear in his players.
Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Kierian Gibbs who all played against Norwich are expected to be fit to play while Abou Diaby, though fit is not expected to start. Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and Thomas Vermaelen will undergo fitness test to ascertain their level of fitness. It means Arsenal have an almost full squad to battle Hull City and there can not be any excuses for failure. A win will make many supporters forget all the big defeats they have endured this season and will also make up for the disappointment in finishing the league poorly despite a great start. A win is all that is needed on saturday and nothing but the trophy.
