Sometimes after a difficult period, we say and do things we don't really mean. Arsene Wenger last weekend before the champions league was undoubtedly the most hated man in Arsenal's history but some people's opinion soon changed after the 3-1 drubbing of fernerbache though most still have their reservations.
Though a staunch defender of wenger, I was among the set of people who criticised wenger after the first league loss but like many others, my anger also subsided after watching the performance against fulham. Now the question on my mind is "were we wrong to call for Arsene wenger's head?"
Yesterday wilshere called him a great manager and also said he might think about his future if the manager moved (which is not good). Also again clichy (formal player) called his criticism uncalled for. Though 8 years without trophy is no joke(despite 18 years of champions league qualification) I still think wenger is a great manager. Considering the number of years he has spent at Arsenal and being the longest serving manager, he deserves to have a free hand devoid of interference though we'll still talk when he performs badly but we shouldn't call for his head just yet. And Mr wenger should also remember we are still waiting for a first class player before this transfer window closes.
