After almost nine years of waiting, after enduring the taunts and abuses, after the 'specialist in failure' tag, Arsenal have finally done it. The FA Cup trophy is Arsenal's this season. Many people didn't believe in Arsenal even after they got to the final but now, the trophy is at the emirates. First half was shocking as Hull City scored two goals within nine minutes and it looked as if the Arsenal defence was sleeping. Many people lost hope at that point and resigned to going another year without a trophy but Santi Cazorla would not take no for an answer as he curled in a beautiful free kick that beat the Hull City goal keeper. From there on, Arsenal kept pushing for the equalizer. Series of fouls committed against Arsenal and referee L. Probert waved them off. Chances came Arsenal's way both in the first half and the second half but they couldn't make use of them and it seemed as if Arsenal players were tired and didn't feel like winning the cup until the 71st minute when Koscielny scored. Arsenal kept on going for another goal and the best opportunity to take the lead came later on but Kierian Gibbs blasted the glorious opportunity  over the bar. The second half ended all square at Wembley. Extra time first half came and finished with the score still at 2-2 but in the second half extra time, Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey won the game for his club by putting in the winning goal and it was celebration all the way at Wembley stadium.
Arsenal are the FA Cup champions this year, and the trophy drought has come to an end after almost nine years.
From GOBUNGYnaija here, we say congrats to Arsenal, Arsene Wenger and all supporters all over the world.
