Back to last year August when it all started. When the season looked  like it would be different from all the previous seasons. One of the best players in the world Mesut ozil was bought for a club record fee and there was talk all around that Arsenal
has returned to the position where there would not be reservations whatsoever in adding big names and quality players to the team. There were reports and rumours that linked Arsenal to a whole lot of players but at last we settled for Mesut Ozil and though there were still reservations as many positions in the team were still left open without quality back up and the team lacked dept on the bench as well, but it still looked like a season that will see Arsenal challenge the top teams for titles. It was heading towards that direction though as Olivier Giroud, the club's only top striker was banging in the goals. Aaron ramsey could not stop scoring also as he was always everywhere on the pitch, slotting in passes and goals. Mesut ozil kept providing the assists while the defence with the partnership between Per mertesacker and Laurent koscielny was impenetrable. Even the champions league matches we played were filled with top of the class performances and things couldn't have been better on the field of play.
The new year soon came and we started running out of luck as the club's best player since the start of the season got injured. Other players who were injured also affected the team and the lack of depth in the team became obvious. Then came the defeats to Manchester city, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern munich, Everton and the dream most supporters of the club silently had at the beginning of the season that Arsenal will win the BPL started fading away. Top four finish seemed unachievable as well until Everton slipped up. It was a season that started well but ended up as usual but with Arsenal in the FA cup final. May 17 is around the corner when Arsenal will take on Hull city at Wembley. FA cup win will make the season acceptable for all concerned with the club as it will mean an end to the long trophy drought that has been plaguing the club. As Alex-oxlade chamberlain has rightly said, FA cup win will be a step in the right direction as it can be a step towards winning more titles.
The final is a must win match and all will be well from there on.
